How much of the revenue from ticket sales goes to charity?

All of the competitions hosted on our platform must donate a percentage of the revenue generated from ticket sales to a registered charity. The host of the competition chooses the percentage and this information will be displayed in the competition details. The minimum level of donation is 1%.

How many tickets can I sell?

The maximum number of tickets you can sell is 1,000,000.

What price can I sell my tickets?

The minimum price is £1.00 and the maximum is £50.00.

How long do the competitions run for and when will the draw be made?

The minimum time is 1 week and the maximum time is 6 months. The draw to select the winner of the competition will be made when all of the tickets have been sold or within the 48 hours that follow the competitions expiry date and time, whichever occurs first.

How are the winners chosen?

Winners are selected completely at random using our automated system. All of our draws are conducted using software from reputable 3rd party organization to ensure they are fair, genuine, without bias, and cannot be influenced by any involved party. Entrants are able to verify their entry into the draw.

What Prizes am I able to host on Prize Villas?

Our platform is specifically designed to host competitions for prizes that include; Freehold residential property in a touristic area, holiday weeks in a property in a residential area, or package holidays.

What do I need to do in order to verify my prize?

If the prize is a freehold property - You will need to provide the title deeds and land registry documents in order to prove that you are the rightful owner of the property and therefore have the right to offer the property as a prize. The transaction of the ownership of the property to the competition winner must be conducted by an agent recognised and authorized by Prize Villas in order to ensure that the prize has been offered and delivered in good faith and free from encumbrances such as debt or charges that would be seen as a detriment to the competition winner.

If the prize is a week/s holiday in a property - You will need to provide the title deeds and land registry documents in order to prove that you are the rightful owner of the property and therefore have the right to offer the property as a prize. If the prize is offered via an agent, a contractual agreement proving that the agent has the right to rent and offer holiday weeks in the property must be provided.

If the prize is a package holiday - These prizes may only be offered by registered travel agencies and any holidays offered must be ATOL protected.

What happens if all of the tickets are not sold by the competition's end date?

The draw for the winner will take place irrespective of this on the end date of the competition. The host will then have a maximum of 48 hours after the draw has taken place to decide whether to still provide the prize to the winner and receive the remaining revenue left from the ticket sales. If the host does not provide the prize then the winner will receive a cash prize of 70% of the revenue generated from the ticket sales. The host will receive nothing.

Example: Required amount of tickets to be sold to win a villa is 200,000 tickets @ £1.00 per ticket. The competition host only manages to sell 100,000 tickets. The host fails to provide the prize due to the the required level of ticket sales not being achieved. Prize Villas provides a cash alternative prize of a minimum of 70% of the ticket revenue.

100,000 tickets @ £1.00 = £100,000

£100,000 x 70% = £70,000 cash prize paid to the winner

When do I receive the revenue from the ticket sales?

Hosts will receive revenue from the ticket sales (less commissions and any afore agreed associated costs) once it has been confirmed that the winner has successfully received the prize as it is described in the competition details. Funds can be paid via bank transfer or Paypal. In competitions where the prize is a freehold property, we are obliged to pay the funds to the designated solicitor (or follow the legal payment process for property transactions in the relevant country and jurisdiction) in order to safeguard the successful unencumbered transfer of ownership of the property to the winner.

Prize Guarantee

All of the competitions hosted on our platform are covered by our prize guarantee. If the competition host fails to sell the required amount of tickets or transfer full ownership of the prize to the winning entrant, Prize Villas will guarantee to pay a minimum of 70% of the revenue generated from the ticket sales of that competition to the winning entrant. In this scenario, the host of the competition would receive nothing.

The host fails to provide the prize due to the the required level of ticket sales not being achieved. Prize Villas provides a cash alternative prize of a minimum of 70% of the ticket revenue.
